If your complaint relates to our fundraising activities, you can also make a complaint directly to the Fundraising Regulator, particularly if you are unsatisfied with our response.
Raising a whistleblowing concern
Akshaya Patra UK is committed to the highest standards of ethical behaviour and principled conduct. We expect everyone involved in our mission to behave with integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.
If you have a genuine concern that wrongdoing may have been committed in relation to any of our activities, please let us know as soon as possible through our whistleblowing procedure. We will properly investigate your concerns and ensure you are protected from unfair treatment.
Whistleblowing is the disclosure of information which relates to dangerous, illegal or unethical practice.
Examples of whistleblowing issues may include concerns related to fraud, theft, safeguarding, health and safety, environmental damage, bribery, corruption, breaches of legal or regulatory obligations, miscarriages of justice, or the deliberate concealment of evidence of wrongdoing.
Concerns or feedback about our work which do not relate to whistleblowing issues should be raised through our standard complaints procedure.
To initiate a whistleblowing concern, please contact us by email at whistleblowing@akshayapatra.org.uk and we will be in touch to discuss the issue further. We will ensure that no whistleblower suffers detrimental treatment from Akshaya Patra as a result of raising a genuine concern with us.
For more advice or information on whistleblowing, you can reach out to Protect, which is the UK’s whistleblowing charity. Protect aims to stop harm by encouraging safe whistleblowing.
