Our mission is to build a movement of people who – working together with compassion, generosity and determination – will ensure a growing number of disadvantaged children can eat well, make the most of their education, and realise their full potential free from poverty and hunger.
Our Values
The Akshaya Patra values are the engine of our success and the source of our ability to positively impact the lives of disadvantaged children and their communities.
Though the worldwide Akshaya Patra family is drawn from a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives – a broad diversity of culture and character which undoubtedly makes us stronger – what unites us is our common set of values. We are not only accountable for the work we do; we also care deeply about the way in which we do it.
These six core values, considered and understood alongside our code of conduct and other key policies and procedures, help guide all our people along ‘the Akshaya Patra way’ as we aim to reach many more hungry children in the years to come, while upholding the highest standards of ethical behaviour, principled conduct and quality assurance.
